The Goldy Boy
Born in Livingston, New Jersey, Jared has been performing since the age of 5. As a child, Jared had his start in commercials for Quaker Oats (2003), Wendy's (2004) and Charmin (2004). He then began a voice-over-career on the Nickelodeon TV series Blue's Clues and its spinoff series Blue's Room. Jared went onto voice characters in the Warner Bros. film The Ant Bully (2006) and also landed a minor spot in the film Spider-Man 3 (2007). Jared's voice-over career continues today as a regular recording artist for Recorded Books where he has earned the distinction of being "the first child to ever read for the world's largest independent publisher of unabridged audiobooks," Jared has recorded many book series' such as Roscoe Riley Rules, Dan Gutman's My Weird School and Timmy Failure, for which Jared received the EarPhones Award by AudioFile Magazine (2015).
In addition to his professional work on camera and behind the microphone, Jared has always been passionate about live theatre as well. Jared attended Stagedoor Manor: Performing Arts Training Center throughout his entire childhood where he earned the opportunity to perform in many musicals. After graduating from Livingston High School in 2014, Jared began training at Elon University's prestigious BFA Music Theatre program. Between school years Jared performed at Cortland Repertory Theatre in The Jungle Book, 1776, The Addams Family, and Sherlock Holmes & the West End Horror (2015). Jared also performed at Flat Rock Playhouse, the State Theatre of North Carolina. There, he was seen in Chase Brock's production of The Music Man and 9 to 5, where he played Josh. At Flat Rock, Jared also originated the role of Gimme the Ax in Ethan Andersen's new musical Rootabaga Express! (2016).
Jared earned his BFA in Music Theatre from Elon University in May 2018 and is over the MOON to be joining the Dear Evan Hansen family this fall!
